How safe is EDRMS Integration?
Some clients have asked if One-2-One EDRMS Integration “might
potentially corrupt their EDRMS database?”
The answer, borne out by almost 5 years of One-2-One use by a large number of users, is NO, it is quite safe.
One-2-One only ever uses the API/SDK facilities of vendor products. It never makes direct access to the actual underlying database used by the EDRMS system.
An API/SDK is a connection interface, developed by the vendor, providing safe mechanisms to read and write data to the database. Any potential dangerous requests are blocked by this interface thus ensuring the integrity of the EDRMS database is always protected
.

One-2-One is intuitive classification management software, using a Windows Explorer metaphor and incorporating thesaurus management capability. Designed with advanced features for records management EDRMS requirements while still retaining the flexibility of a standalone development tool.
Develop, then maintain, a new hierarchical classification, file-plan, thesaurus or classification in standalone mode, or, optionally, via EDRMS Integration to do immediate updates to supported target products.

EDRMS Integration currently supports:

  • Trim Context - from V5.4, all Version 6 releases and latest HP Trim V7
  • Objective 7.3 and 7.4
  • OpenText eDocs DM5 or DM6 [previously Hummingbird Enterprise]
  • Termwise for Interwoven (from Trinogy Systems).

Implementation of the EDRMS Integration option, a concept developed and implemented by Active Classification Solutions in 2004, means there is no longer a need to export to transfer files then import and verify.

One-2-One EDRMS Integration provides a safe means to immediately view and update the thesaurus, file plan and disposal content of supported vendor EDRMS systems.

One-2-One is a modular design enabling it to be used for standalone non EDRMS development of thesauri and classifications by not purchasing the Retention and Disposal or EDRMS Integration options.

Term Tree

Though Term Tree, originally released January 1999, is still available, and supported, it is now a maintenance only product. One-2-One is now the product being actively developed and we suggest you evaluate One-2-One in preference to Term Tree.

Term Tree thesaurus software features a single page Windows Explorer metaphor to show all structural relationships. Term Tree includes features to create and manage subject  (ISO 2788) or records management scheme (AS4390 - ISO 15489) thesauri, synonym rings, controlled vocabularies or taxonomies.
