“We began using One-2-One back in April 2006 during a time of major change.  Our record keeping system was undergoing a major upgrade and we needed the capacity to continue with the development of our controlled vocabulary outside of the system in preparation for an EDRMS rollout to the whole of the organisation. 

Having developed and managed a record keeping thesaurus in the past, I knew how important it was going to be to have a suitable tool that not only allowed us to develop and manage our thesaurus, but also take our controlled language out to our clients in a web environment. We were also looking for a way to produce reports from our thesaurus that would assist our clients in their understanding of the language they would use. One-2-One has proved to be more than we ever expected due to Alan’s commitment to product development and integrity.  One-2-One has allowed us to manage both our thesaurus and disposal authorities in one environment; apply rigor to the structure and application of terminology as well as log changes of structure and content in our thesaurus. It allows us to produce reports in formats that are useful to both record keepers and staff alike; export our thesaurus to our web page in a familiar tree structure – a look and feel that our staff love; avoid orphan terms in our thesaurus and customise the look and feel of the product.  One-2-One is a very user friendly product and we continue to find more and more uses within our organisations.  More recently, we have added a second database to assist us in developing controlled terminology used in cataloguing artefacts and photographs of our historic collections. 

Alan has offered us an amazing level of support even though our organisation is on the other side of Australia. It is also very evident that he will continue to develop his product based on the experiences and needs of his clients.  We look forward to a long and exciting journey using and growing with this product and company.”

Objective EDRMS Integration

“One-2-One was an essential ingredient to successfully building our new File Plan in Objective.

We were able to build our BCS framework and share this with staff via an email hyperlink as we worked on it.   When we updated our File Plan, it was automatically available to staff via the same hyperlink.

The ability to import structures from a network drive was a huge time saver and we simply could not have met our deadlines without this feature.

The integration to Objective allowed seamless upload and folder/virtual file creation with not a single error!!
