HP Trim/RM 8.1/ECM 9
121 makes it easy to create and manage Thesauri, Classifications, and Disposal Schedules within the HP Trim / RM8.1 system. Initially these structures may be created in a 121 Access database then uploaded, via the integration, to Trim, RM 8.0 or RM8.1. Though HP provide a set of transfer file structures for Thesaurus, Classification and Schedules, using the integration upload and on-going management features makes this task much simpler.
Connecting to Trim, HPRM8.? or ECM 9 via 121 Integration
For installations optioned with Trim / HPRM Integration the Thesaurus and Classification buttons will be displayed on the start up screen, in the line tagged with the version identifier Trim, HP RM8.0, HP RM8.1 or ECM 9.
The RaDIUM button in this example accesses another optional product used to upload Disposal Schedule definitions from SRO specifications, allowing resolution of sentence statements into correctly defined Disposal Schedule triggers, into Trim, HP RM 8.? or HP ECM 9.
Thesaurus
RM Thesauri are generally constructed using Keyword AAA, as the seed source, and are then modified to suit local requirements. With 121 it is an easy task to take an Access database copy of the base, or Agency customised, version of Keyword AAA and upload to the HP system. The transferred terms and relationships may then be further managed using the integration to immediately modify terms, relationships, scope notes, etc. from the 121 screen.
The image to the left shows a connection, via the integration, to a HP RM 8.1 Thesaurus while the image to the right shows the same Thesaurus in the HP system. 121 provides great convenience for the RM Manager by displaying Terms and relationships on a single screen for quick reference and editing. Any changes made are immediately stored into the HP system database, via the HP SDK.
Classification
Many RM Managers prefer to use a one to many Classification rather than a Thesaurus and this is possible in HP using the numbered Classification option.

Disposal Schedules
Management of Disposal Schedules is made easy by extending, via the HP SDK, the HP system Schedule screens into 121. New Schedules may be added and existing ones edited and updated immediately into the HP system.
